My Lusty Lilitu is Almost Ready for Flight

Or, otherwise entitled: This is what I’ve been up to!

I said a few weeks ago that I was working on a project that had been keeping me extremely busy, but that was making me oh, so excited! Well, now I am able to tell you exactly what it is that I’ve been up to.

Since the latter part of July, I have been working with some fantastic authors on the second and third books in the new paranormal erotica “Lust” series of anthologies. For the last few weeks, I have lived and breathed my two latest novellas – not to mention boring rigid those who have been so wonderful and kind enough to listen to me going on and on about drafts, beta reading, editing… It has been an utterly incredible journey (in every sense possible), writing two books in that space of time. Being me, I have relished the challenge – even if I did need a snorkel to keep myself from drowning under the waves of words (and a few of them crashed, that’s for sure!). I sometimes wondered if I was insane, taking on two different stories and 45,000 words in five weeks, as well as trying to give you something new on the blog, too. But I did manage, with my own personal pom-pom brigade cheering me on. My deepest thanks to you – you know who you are. And I like both of my novellas. A lot (now they’re finished…!)

Lust on the Wing Final CoverBoth books are still in various states of production, and the first is due for release on Amazon on 13 September! It’s entitled Lust on the Wing, each author’s novella (rather obviously) being about a winged creature – and the variety is huge. We’ve got gryphons by Devi Ansevi, and grotesques by Jacqui Greaves, the Marked of the SHAKKAN by Essemoh Teepee, and mine – a Lilitu, who is very insistent on having the man she chooses, whether his lady love likes it or not, but hasn’t quite got the heart to employ the powers of her ancestor, Lilith, on her chosen one. So she has to resort to, um, other means. Needless to say, they happen to be ridiculously hot, and they certainly keep her man up all night – and they have quite an affect on his lady love, too!

I’m allowed to reveal the cover now, which is extremely exciting for me, because the book has got my character, Lila, on the front! I really hope you like it. Thanks must go to Devi for creating such a fantastic cover (or covers, to be more precise – anyone who thinks this was the first and only one made, think again; there must have been about twenty different versions that we discussed! I had a great time discussing images for this).

I have no doubt that I will get all excited again on release day! I also intend to release some extracts from each of the novellas for you, because I wouldn’t dream of leaving you without something to read…!

Of course, there is more to this story…there’s the other book. Watch out for me getting all hot and bothered about the October release, Lust in Tooth and Claw very soon – just nicely ready for Hallowe’en! I have a beautiful nymphomaniac vampire – a Leanan Sidhe – in that one. Oh, I do love seriously sexy mythology – and so does my character. I shall say no more. For now. I’m getting too excited! 😉

Thank you so much! I’m really pleased the cover has made an impact. Devi did an amazing job of piecing together all of our comments. Yes, it’s been an…interesting…time, recently, trying to complete two books virtually simultaneously in such a tight timeframe, and to keep the quality I expect in my writing at all times, too.

And, yes, of course there will be a next time! Glutton for punishment, me! 🙂

I can’t wait for it to be released. You will need to share it with us when it is done. I have been waiting impatiently to read your anthologies. 🙂
