Battle of the Beasts: shameless plea!

This post comes to you as an unabashed plea for help!

Paranormal Romance Lovers is currently running a 4-week competition for authors, in which a character (vampire, werewolf, or other beastie) of the author’s choice is thrown to the lions for votes. Winners of each round go into a Grand Final, whereupon the winner will receive a number of goodies. While that would be lovely, I’m not concerning myself with the prize, just with…er…well, not coming last would just be nice!

My Leanan Sidhe, Eleanor, is up for voting this week, until the end of Friday, EST. She is my character in ‘Leanan Sidhe and the Wordsmith’, my novella featured in Lust in Tooth and Claw. And she’d REALLY love not to be at the bottom, and sat on by all the other contestants (it’s not her style at all…quite the opposite!).

If you’d like to vote for her, you can do so here. Just click on the little check box (or you might see it as a circle) next to the Lust in Tooth and Claw book cover, and you’re done! And, if you sign up to the PNRLovers newsletter after you cast your vote, you will be in with a chance of winning an Amazon gift card, too.

I want to say a huge thank you to both AC Elliott and Lurv Spanking for already plugging the competition on their blogs, and for saying such lovely things about me and my work, and making me blush into the bargain!

And, if you need reminding of just exactly what Eleanor is like, here are the two extracts I released not so very long ago:

Eleanor meets Andy, the writer

Eleanor and the bedpost(!)

My huge thanks to anyone who votes, and to those who already have (you lovely people!).

Oh, and if anyone has a desperate urge to know more about that weird bed…Eleanor, that bed, and its maker, will feature prominently in the prequel to ‘Leanan Sidhe and the Wordsmith’ early next year. ‘Leanan Sidhe and the Carver’ COMING SOON

Thanks, Devi! I think this series might make people think twice about calling on the muse to help them – unless they’re willing to risk all for some of her scary, hot sex, that is!

The competition isn’t finished yet: it rages on this week, in the grand final! For my part, I managed to come a respectable mid-table position, eight off the bottom, I think (if my maths is right – which it may or may not be!).

Thank you for asking – I had forgotten to thank everyone who voted for me, because I have my nose buried in the draft copy of my current novella! Apologies to all! I really appreciate the time everyone took to vote. And I hope the three finalists have a great time this week, battling it out for the grand prize! 😊
